Harper's First Play Date

Harper had his first play date this Saturday and boy is he lucky! Harper got to go swimming for the first time ever! We were just bummed dad couldn't be there to see it! Since there were so many new sounds, textures, people, and places to experience he was a little overwhelmed. Harper was quiet the whole time which is very out of character for him these days, and actually fell asleep in the pool! Everyone was having so much fun, but poor Cody got stung by a bee! I will never forget how cute he was when he was going around saying "I hate that bee", and "My daddy going to kill that bee" in his little 4 year old voice! Lots of good pics were taken by Ms. Katie, sorry Katie, I also had to steal some! Can't wait for many more play dates with all the girls and their babies! Harper won't be the youngest for long! Lots of little playmates on their way this fall and winter!!!!

This Week at the Scott House

I know! I'm border line obsessed! But I keep getting these adorable shots of Harper! Plus, I swear he changes and grows everyday! This week he started waving! How crazy is that?! He's working on sitting up right now, and he loves holding/chewing on all his toys. We are also doing flash cards and books which he goes nuts over!!!! I just read him books over and over and over! He gets so excited! My favorite is our dance party we do every morning! It usually happens when Harper is in his bouncer and I'm getting ready for work. We sing and dance! Harper's dance moves still need a little work. He kinda looks like a ninja right now but he's a boy, he doesn't need grace! Who knew it would be this fun! I was so worried about how to take care of him while I was pregnant, I had no idea how much I would enjoy raising a child!

Everyone Meet Stella!

She's finally here! Pamela and Noah's perfect little angel has arrived! Harper is so excited to meet his girlfriend! Pamela and I both had our water break first! Crazy right?! Only 10% of all labors start with the bag of water breaking. Anyways, Stella is beautiful and healthy. She arrived Sunday evening, 7:39PM after mama labored for 15 hours!!! Your a trooper Ms. Pamela! She's a delicate little flower weighing in at 6 pounds 7 ounces and 20 inches long! We are so excited for the new addition to the Dancil Family! We love you guys!
P.S. Harper has been chatting about Stella all week! He can't wait to smooch on her!

What a Beautiful Day!

Yesterday was not only Harper's 3 month Birthday but it was also the day we blessed him! It was a frantic morning trying to get the house ready, myself looking like I had my act together, and keeping Harper happy! Once we got to the church I was so worried about where everyone sat, will they be comfortable, will my church offend anyone, and then it just happened! They called my Dad up to bless Harper and all family members who would be participating. I was so worried Harper would scream through it, and he just watched my dad as he blessed him! My dad gave him a beautiful blessing filled with hope, love, encouragement, and strength! I was so moved and so was the rest of the family. As soon as he was done I was so at peace and happy! The Bishop got up and said, "this is good stuff were doing here today" and it was! The rest of the day was amazing. It was spent with family and friends, members, and non-members. It didn't matter, everyone was so supportive and loving! I am so thankful for all the people we are blessed with to have in our lives! It felt like a wonderful start to our life as a family!

Where is my sleeping baby?!?!

Harper is so active these days! All he wants to do is play, play, play! He fights and fights us to fall asleep! What could a 12 week old baby possibly be worried about missing?! I was reading my weekly newsletter from babycenter.com and they are dead on! In their post it says "your baby will become very handy," "all they will want to do is eat their hands, bat at toys, touch everything, etc." It is so true!!! Harper is helping us feed him, he is grabbing his toys, touching our faces and hands! Its amazing how fast they learn and they just know what comes next! How do they know what to do?! It so surreal to see a baby grow and grow literally every day!
