Rocky Point!

We love Rocky Point! Ben and I have been going down to RP for years! We love it! It is so easy and fun down there! Did I mention cheap?! Totally affordable for the family on a budget!!!
Well, it was Harper's first time down, actually his first trip ever! He did so amazing and adapted really well to Rocky Point life. He just "chilled" the whole time! We were so worried about the ride there and back, but yet again he surprised us! He did awesome! Harper loved beach life! We just relaxed all day on the beach, napped, and got his feet wet in the ocean. Of course he had another ron de vu with his girlfriend Stella! She wore little sundresses that Harper could not resist! The babies did so well together!
I'm already counting down till our next trip!

5 Months!

Harper is 5 months! Will somebody please slow down time! It is surreal how fast they grow, learn, and change! Harper is now talking all day long, rolling everywhere, desperately trying to crawl, drooling, teething (no teeth yet), laughing, almost sitting up, and recognizing familiar faces. He reaches for Ben and I which is the best feeling. I never knew how great it would feel when he touched my cheeks or grabbed onto my shirt. It's so simple but so amazing!
I can't believe it has been 5 months since I gave birth to Harper! It seems like just yesterday I was waddling around and loving my belly. Not loving the belly these days even a little, ha! I thought as Harper would grow I would shrink... not the case! Harper has jumped from 6 pounds 12 ounces to 17 pounds! Unfortunately I haven't made such "positive progress" but no one said it would be easy!

We did it!

The salon is finally open! After years of planning and a crazy summer of preparation, AJ and I finally opened our doors on October 1st! What an amazing, scary, and liberating feeling to be a business owner! I can't wait to see what the future holds for us... hopefully all good!
In case you were wondering The Roose Parlour and Spa is located at 906 N. 6th Street, right off of 7th Street and Roosevelt. We are in the heart of the Small Business / Art District. We are also a residence of First Friday's Art Walk, literally!
Thank you everyone for all the support and encouragement you have given us! It's All Happening!

Harper and Hudson

Harper and Hudson's first play date will be the last for a while. The Kobes are going back to Hawaii! We are soo happy Joe will be home safe soon, but bummed they will be soo far away. Hud and Harp are about two months apart. Hudson lives up to his nickname, TANK! He is huge and adorable! Hudson and Harper had a blast listening and staring at eachother. We have so much to look forward to at their next play date. I can already tell they are going to be great friends! Hopefully the next ron de vu will be in beautiful Hawaii (hint, hint Ben)!

Seriously!

Seriously! This is all happening too fast! I know to most people he still looks like a little baby, but OMG! He's huge! Harper just turned 4 months last week and he weighs over 15 pounds! He won't stop rolling, he tries to do sit ups when I lay him down, he holds onto his own bottle, and now he's trying to crawl! I thought I would have more time but no! We may be having a baby sooner than I thought for the simple fact it's going too fast!

Labor Day BBQ and Another Friend!!!

Harper must be the coolest kid in town because everybody wants to hang with him. Harper was invited to a Labor Day BBQ out in Goodyear (Ben and I got a sympathy invite since we had to bring him, ha!) Little Cezar met Harper when he was just one week old, but he wasn't so much fun then. Little Cezar is now 9 months old and Harper is 4 months. They were very curious about each other. They definitely wanted to touch and figure out who this other baby was. We had so much fun watching them study the different sounds, toys, sizes, and looks. The adults had fun too. Cezar and Christina hosted a very fun and relaxing BBQ. Lots of good food in doors on such a hot weekend.

I love My Auntie Kris and Uncle Timmy

Harper is so blessed to be surrounded around such amazing family! While Ben and I go to work Harper gets to spend his days with family. I am so thankful for the support our family gives us. Harper spends every Monday with Auntie Kris and they have a blast! Just the other day Auntie Kris was simply looking at Harper, and he was giving her the biggest belly laughs! We were all cracking up at how much he was laughing. As we all know Harper is growing like a weed. Eventhough he is looking more and more like his dad, he has a strong resemblance of his Uncle Timmy. They look like they were cut from the same mold! It is so fun to see how much your family loves your child! I cannot wait to spoil, hug, kiss, and love on Auntie Kris and Uncle Timmy's baby someday!

I love my daddy!

Most people do not get to see how great Ben is with Harper! You can already tell that Harper is going to worship his dad! Harper is always watching him, and he can't stand but smile at him. Ben still hasn't warmed up to midnight feedings but he is amazing with Harper. They play, talk, watch sports, and hang out all the time. Ben is counting the days till he gets to wrestle, teach him sports, and all the other boy things he has hidden up his sleeves. These pics are just a few of the hundreds I have of them together. (Notice Harper's onesie has a soccer ball on it!)

Happy Birthday Mimi!

I am so behind on my blogging! Two weeks ago was Alma's birthday. We spent it hanging out at the Pointe and we had dinner at ZuZu. We had lots of fun despite the insane heat! You're going to laugh when you see Harper in all his swim gear! You know he's my kid when his skin is glowing from sunblock, ha!
