Christmas is my favorite time of year! The whole month of December is full of festivities, traditions, yummy food, and holiday cheer! For some reason it is just a little more special when you have a baby experiencing it for the first time. I know that Harper will not remember this Christmas, but the pictures and memories we've made are priceless! This Christmas was one for the record books! Every minute was cherished and I can't wait for the next! Like his mother, Harper could not wait till Christmas to check out the gifts! He was caught red handed!
Ben and I went to the Splawn's annual Christmas party and had a blast hanging out with our friends! Every year we take mom's famous funeral potatoes, yum! A rare night away from the little guy.
The Sunday before Christmas we went to church as a family. Gramcracker even came! The music and talks were so beautiful, just the ticket to get you in the true holiday spirit!
Christmas Eve was spent at the Scott's! Prime rib, potatoes, pie, the movie Christmas Vacation, and a visit from Santa! A jam packed night with the pictures to prove it. Our little reindeer didn't want to leave the party, he was having so much fun! He fell into a laughing frenzy with Pop Pop and became the entertainment for the evening!
Christmas morning with the Angles... no words to describe it! We open presents when it's still dark out and we all turn into kids again! I am always so sad when our couple hours of chaos is over! It is definitely a tradition that I will hold onto for as long as possible! After the presents were all open the girls made breakfast while the boys assembled all of the toys! I am already looking forward to next year with Timmy and Kris's baby boy! The love that you see and feel with Harper is so amazing, I can't wait to return this experience to them:)
After Christmas Morning with the Angles was over, we spent the rest of the day with the Scott Family. We opened presents at the In-Laws and then headed over to GG's (Ben's Grandma) for a feast! Cousins, Aunts and Uncles, nothing like family! We had lots of laughs, lots of food and lots of memories. Can't wait till next year!
